OUR INSTRUCTORS
Angus MacKenzie
Angus MacKenzie, is the Former World Highland Dancing Champion under the
Rules of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing. He has been teaching
Highland Dancing in the Vancouver area for the past 20 years. He has danced
competitively in the North American, African and European Continents. He
is the former Canadian Champion, Dominion of Canada Champion, Western Canadian
Champion and Western U.S. Champion. He has performed at the Mexico Oympic
Games and also danced at the Tunisian Folk Festival in Tunis, Northern Africa.
He won the World Championship in Gourock, Scotland and The British Overseas
Championship in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is the Principal teacher in the
Studio and has trained many Champion and Trophy winning dancers. He is one
of the most sought after Workshop teachers and has taught in Alberta, Washington,
Ontario, California and Texas. Email

Cameron Collins
Cameron Collins has been dancing with Angus MacKenzie since the age of four.
Since then he has won over 100 Championship and Aggregate awards throughout
Canada, the U.S. and Scotland. He has represented British Columbia
nine times at the Canadian Inter-Provincial Championships, placing in the
top three overall consistently. He has also competed overseas in Scotland
five times, coming 3rd Runner Up in the Junior World Championships and 5th
Runner Up in the Adult World Championships in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
He has been an assistant teacher under Mr. MacKenzie for the past five years
and has his Highland Members teaching certificate with the BATD. Cameron
recently graduated from Simon Fraser University where he completed his degree
in Environmental Science, and in his spare time he enjoys playing guitar,
hockey and long distance running .

Vincent Collins
Vincent Collins is a competitive Highland dancer under the instruction of
Former World Champion Angus MacKenzie. Since the age of 6, Vincent
has been a graceful dancer, and talented male force among B.C. dancers,
representing B.C. 4 times at the Canadian Championships. For the past
3 years, Vincent has helped nurture future generations of dancers as a student
teacher. Also, he has performed many times for benefit concerts at
Robbie Burns Day celebrations. Vincent recently graduated from UBC
with his Bachelor of Science majoring in Physics. His achievements in Highland
dance include:

Kelly
Burwash
Kelly Burwash has
been a member of the Angus MacKenzie Highland Dance Studio since 1993. She actively
participates in both the group choreography and adult classes. Kelly has a Masters Degree in Educational Technology and teaches grades 8-10 English at Semiahmoo Secondary School. Email
