COMPETITION NEWS
June 7th and 8th, a large number of the studio competed in the Bellingham Highland Games, in Ferndale.
Everyone brought home medals and awards, including some dancers, dancing through injuries, time off, and even upset stomachs! Special mentions go out to:
Owen Goodman won the Novice 7-11 Highland and National Aggregates, also winning the Best Novice Dancer award, for highest points by any Novice dancer.
Cameron Collins won the Premier 18 & Over Highland and National Aggregates, also winning the Best Premier Canadian Dancer award.
June 14th, the studio competed at Sons of Scotland Highland Games, with a couple of dancers competing in the Pacific Northwest Championships. Great results from the studio, and thanks to all the dancers who took the long trip out to Tsawwassen, especially the dancers who came all the way down from Squamish. Special mention goes out to:
Katie Rattray came 2nd Runner Up in the 9 & Under Championships.
Madeline Goodman came 3rd Runner Up in the 9 & Under Championships, and won the Nationals aggregate.
Jack Peitsch-Tyerman won a 6th in the 11 & Under Championships.
Emma Johnston won a 4th and 6th in the 13 & Under Championships.
Kaitlin Sullivan won a 6th in the 13 & Under Championships.
Cameron Collins came 1st Runner Up in the 18 & Over Championships.
Vincent Collins came 4th Runner Up in the 18 & Over Championships.
Jennifer Black won a 5th in the 18 & Over Championships.
Owen Goodman won the Novice 11 & Under aggregate.
